As I finally bring this travel blog to a close, I plan to shift my creative energy in a new and exciting direction.

One final collection of photos - from the mystical vortexes of Sedona to the tar pits of Los Angeles, then north along the Pacific Coastal Highway, through towering Redwoods and majestic Sequoias. And, finally, the end of the road - Washington.

From West Virginia to Nebraska and on down to Texas, here’s proof that Middle America has just as much fascinating weirdness as anywhere else.

I think it’s safe to assume that most folks have seen enough horror movies to know what would happen if they were to sleep in a mysterious cabin they found in the middle of the woods. But where would I be as an adventurer if I let Hollywood and common sense dictate my decisions?

Once again, it’s been about two months since my last blog post. This time however, that long period of radio-silence has to do with the pending lawsuit between myself, my friend who was driving during accident and the tire company, so for the time being, I’m very limited in what I can and cannot reveal regarding my recovery. This post goes into a little more detail but, again, I have to keep some information vague until after the trial. Aren’t lawsuits just the best?

After three long months of recovery, I am officially back on the road! This post is part one of a two part series that breaks down what it’s been like to resume my road trip now that I’m traveling with a new body in a new season. But before I can focus on moving forward, I first have to revisit the scene of the crash in order to put some inner demons to rest.

Scattered throughout the forgotten parts of this country are the ruins of all manor of interesting structures - mothballed, neglected, abandoned and rotting. What follows is a collection of photos from some of the places unknown I’ve encountered during my journey.

Having so far failed to make the most of my abundant free time, I’m vowing now to finish some of the blog posts that I had started and, for one reason or another, never finished.
